About us

At the Dental Expo, the Red Cross wants to bring the Golden Crown Plan of the Princess Margriet Fund to the attention of visitors and recruit new dentists to participate.

Some areas in the world, such as Haiti, are especially vulnerable to storms and floods. This not only causes a lot of damage, but also a risk of outbreaks of diseases and epidemics due to polluted water. Children are very vulnerable to this.

The proceeds of your removed gold crowns help vulnerable families in various ways:
In Haiti we are working on, among other things, the reforestation of mountain slopes. The roots of the plants hold the soil, preventing erosion and flooding and allowing rainwater to infiltrate the soil better. Over time, cashew nuts, mangoes and other fruits grow on the trees that people can eat or sell. So we are working on a stronger nature, so that families are safer and can earn more.
In addition, in Haiti we provide safe drinking water, contingency plans, disaster training for volunteers, better farming techniques, and education about the importance of nature in preventing disasters.

The Dutch Red Cross has been a humanitarian emergency aid organization since 1867. The Red Cross works from all over the world
the same seven principles: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntariness, Unity, and Universality.
The Red Cross is strictly neutral and operates independently of the government, does not take sides in conflicts and
always stands up for the interests of people in need.
Our goal is to be the humanitarian emergency aid organization, in the Netherlands and abroad. We want to realize this by providing emergency aid, strengthening people’s self-reliance and increasing respect and
to increase the willingness to help in society. Internationally, the Dutch Red Cross contributes to emergency aid in the event of calamities, preparing for disasters and strengthening resilience.
