Tweedaagse opleiding Lachgassedatie voor de assistent
Some patients find treatment by the dentist or dental hygienist daunting or uncomfortable. Anxiety, tension, or a strong urge to gag can make treatment difficult. Nitrous oxide sedation is a safe and effective way to help the patient relax, making the treatment more pleasant and peaceful. During this course, assistants learn what nitrous oxide sedation is, how it works, and their role within the treatment team. The emphasis is on safety, preparation, and support during the treatment. Opleiding Lachgassedatie in de Mondzorg
For many patients, dental or medical treatment is a stressful experience. Anxiety, tension, or a strong gag reflex can make treatment difficult or even impossible. Nitrous oxide sedation, in addition to other anxiety-reducing techniques, offers a safe, effective, and patient-friendly solution. During nitrous oxide sedation, the patient inhales a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, creating a feeling of relaxation and mild euphoria. The patient remains conscious and can respond to the caregiver's instructions. Moreover, the sedation is easily controlled. Nitrous oxide has been used in (oral) healthcare for decades, with excellent results. It is particularly suitable for use in oral healthcare for patients with dental phobia, a strong gag reflex, intellectual or physical disabilities, or children who are difficult to treat. Nitrous oxide is also used in healthcare for treatments where relaxation is desired. During this 3-day training course, you will gain a thorough understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of nitrous oxide sedation. You will learn about the medical background, indications, and contraindications, and gain insight into the entire sedation process, from preparation to aftercare. Attention will also be paid to potential complications and how to handle them safely and professionally. A mandatory component of the course is Basic Life Support training, for which you will receive a separate certificate upon completion. Upon completion, you will be able to independently and responsibly administer nitrous oxide sedation within your own practice or healthcare setting, with the goal of a more relaxed treatment experience for both patient and practitioner. When administering nitrous oxide sedation, the practitioner must be assisted by a qualified and competent assistant.

Opleiding Tandartsassistent
Onze vernieuwde opleiding Tandartsassistent is zowel geschikt voor de instromende- als doorstromende tandartsassistent. Een vernieuwde versie omdat we vanaf 2021 deze mooie opleiding (deels) vanuit onze eigen digitale leeromgeving aanbieden. Met dit diploma ben je goed voorbereid op het werken als tandartsassistent in een tandartspraktijk. Het is echter wel noodzakelijk, als je de opleiding wilt volgen, dat je werkzaam bent in een tandartspraktijk óf dat je een stageplek hebt. De basisopleiding duurt ongeveer 1 schooljaar (ongeveer 9 maanden) en bestaat uit 11 praktijkdagen waar we samenkomen op één van de locaties waarvoor je je hebt aangemeld. De ondersteunende theorie kun je vanuit onze eigen leeromgeving voorbereiden, op het moment dat jou dat uitkomt. De online leeromgeving bestaat voornamelijk uit theorie, aangevuld met opdrachten en toetsen zodat we je voortgang goed in de gaten kunnen houden. Voor vragen kun je ook via onze leeromgeving contact hebben met je docent. Als tandartsassistent werk je zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband. Je assisteert de tandarts bij het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van de tandheelkundige behandelingen, zodat deze op een efficiënte en effectieve wijze kunnen worden uitgevoerd. Ook voer je vaak andere taken uit, zoals het bijwerken van administratie en tandheelkundige gegevens, het geven van voorlichting, instructie mondhygiëne en/of het bestellen van materialen. Het is een ontzettend leuk en afwisselend beroep waarin jij jezelf op veel gebieden kunt ontwikkelen. Na deze opleiding kun je nog aanvullende cursussen volgen om extra taken te kunnen uitvoeren zoals: tandsteen verwijderen, afdrukken en noodkronen maken, sealen enzovoort! PS De opleiding Tandartsassistent wordt gecertificeerd inclusief intra-orale röntgenopnamen en panoramaopnamen.
Opleiding Preventieassistent
Het vakgebied tandheelkunde is altijd volop in beweging, denk hierbij aan de nieuwe screenings methode “Periodieke Parodontale Screening” (PPS), die vanaf januari 2021 ingevoerd is. In het kader van de wet BIG mag de tandartsassistent een aantal taken van de tandarts overnemen. Deze taken zijn vooral gericht op preventieve tandheelkundige zorg. De opleiding Preventieassistent is bedoeld voor gemotiveerde assistenten, die minimaal 2 jaar werkervaring hebben en zich verder willen bekwamen en ontwikkelen in de preventieve tandheelkundige zorg. Het zelfstandig behandelen van een PPS 1 patiënt, staat hierin centraal. Hierbij moet wel in acht worden genomen dat de tandarts hiervoor opdracht geeft en toezicht houdt. Tijdens deze complete opleiding word je in de praktijk begeleid door de praktijkbegeleider. Dit kan een tandarts of mondhygiënist zijn. Onze opleiding Preventieassistent bestaat uit 9 lesdagen. Van deze 9 lesdagen zijn er 7 praktijkdagen waar we samenkomen op één van de locaties waarvoor je je hebt aangemeld. Tijdens deze praktijkdagen wordt er theorie behandeld en doorloop je in groepsverband het praktische deel van de opleiding.
Opleiding Paro-preventieassistent
De opleiding Paro Preventie Assistent COMPLEET is opgedeeld in twee modules, deze zijn afzonderlijk van of aansluitend aan elkaar te volgen. Module 1 zal in het teken staan van de verdieping en verbreding van de kennis op het gebied van preventie en de behandeling van DPSI 3- gebitsreiniging en nazorg patiënten. Met het aanleren van de daarbij behorende vaardigheden. Tijdens deze module worden er 3 patiënten behandeld, de cursist neem deze patiënten mee vanuit de praktijk. Module 2 hierin komt de initiële therapie bij DPSI 3- patiënten uitgebreid aan bod met de theoretische achtergrond en de vaardigheden. Tijdens deze module word er 1 patiënt initieel behandeld, de cursist neemt deze patiënt mee uit de praktijk.
Opleiding Praktijkmanager I – de basis voor de praktijkmanager
Een werkdag van een praktijkmanager ziet er voor iedereen weer anders uit. Geen praktijk is hetzelfde en ook de taken van een praktijkmanager verschillen per praktijk. De ene praktijkmanager zal slechts de administratieve taken van de eigenaar overnemen en daarnaast nog assisteren, preventiewerk of baliewerkzaamheden doen. De andere praktijkmanager houdt zich ook nog bezig met het maken van de roosters, kwaliteitsmanagement, juridische zaken op het gebied van HR en inkoop. Deze opleiding geeft jou een goede basis voor de functie praktijkmanager. Echter de gedetailleerde inhoud kan aangepast worden aan de behoefte van de groep. Deze opleiding draait niet alleen om het leren van nieuwe theorie om de functie van praktijkmanager goed uit te kunnen voeren. De opleiding is praktisch en direct toepasbaar! De opleiding bestaat uit vier dagen waar onder andere aandacht wordt besteed aan: Communicatie; hoe communiceer ik op de juiste manier om mijn team met de neuzen dezelfde kant op te houden, wat is belangrijk in de communicatie. Timemanagement; hoe deel ik mijn dag zo efficiënt mogelijk in. Kwaliteitsmanagement; hoe organiseer en beheer ik de kwaliteit binnen de praktijk en wat is kwaliteit voor de patiënt. Personeelsbeleid; hoe begeleid ik mijn team, hoe stuur ik het team op een goede manier aan. Juridische zaken op het gebied van HR; wet en regelgeving m.b.t. praktijkvoering, sollicitatieprocedures, waar moet je op letten met betrekking tot de juridische zaken. Bedrijfskunde; denk aan inkoopbeleid, wat kost een kamer en wat moet deze opleveren per behandelaar, tips voor het verhogen van de omzet. En hoe om te gaan met een tekort aan goed personeel? Deze nieuwe 4-daagse opleiding geeft jou een verdieping in de praktijkvoering van jouw praktijk. Opleiding Management en Leidinggeven
Zelfs een ervaren praktijkmanager twijfelt soms over de aanpak van bepaalde zaken of heeft behoefte aan feedback of extra ondersteuning. Voor die praktijkmanager is onze opleiding ‘Management en leidinggeven’ een aanrader. Maar ook de zelfverzekerde praktijkmanager kan bij deze opleiding terecht voor verdieping van de functie als manager. Deze opleiding is een perfect vervolg op onze opleiding Praktijkmanager – de verdieping. Tijdens deze 8-daagse opleiding leer je onder andere hoe je meer invloed uit kan oefenen in (of tijdens) een gesprek en welke handvaten je kunt gebruiken om op een succesvolle manier leiding te geven aan je team. Daarnaast ontvang je voorafgaand aan deze opleiding gratis een éénjarig abonnement van het PM platform; hét online platform voor praktijkmanagers in de mondzorg. Opleiding CBCT Toezichthoudend Medewerker Stralingsbescherming
TMS-CBCT 2-daagse opleiding Regeling stralingsbescherming medische blootstelling: artikel 4 aanvullende eis Conebeam CT. Een tandarts of kaakchirurg onder wiens medische verantwoordelijkheid patiënten worden blootgesteld aan de ioniserende straling van een Conebeam CT, dient met goed gevolg de opleiding “Toezichthoudend Medewerker Stralingsbescherming tandheelkunde voor toepassingen met de Conebeam CT” te hebben afgerond. Deze opleiding moet hebben plaatsgevonden bij een erkende instelling overeenkomstig artikel 5.11 en 5.22 van de regeling basisveiligheidsnormen stralingsbescherming. Conebeam CT geeft de mogelijkheid om tegen een aanvaardbare dosis 3D opnamen te vervaardigen van het hoofd-halsgebied. Omdat de stralingsdosis voor de patiënt bij Conebeam CT opnamen een factor 20 tot factor 300 hoger is dan bij intra-orale röntgenopnamen, is een goede uitvoering van de rechtvaardiging des te belangrijker. Daarom moet de gebruiker van CBCT voldoen aan de kerncompetenties voor “Toezichthoudend Medewerker Stralingsbescherming tandheelkunde voor toepassingen met Conebeam CT”. Deze opleiding kan worden gevolgd wanneer een tandarts in het bezit is van de basisopleiding “Toezichthoudend Medewerker Stralingsbescherming voor de tandheelkunde” (in principe heeft de Nederlandse Tandarts deze behaald in de studie, voorheen 5 A/M/) en voldoet aan de 5-jaarlijkse verplichte bij- en nascholing. Indien men deelneemt aan de opleiding CBCT kan en mag dit tevens aangemerkt worden als de verplichte bij- en nascholing van TMS basis.
Opleiding Lokale Anesthesie
n deze 2-daagse opleiding leer je lokale anesthesie in de mond te geven, in de boven- en onderkaak en ook het mandibulair blok. Voor een efficiënte praktijkvoering en zeker als er gewerkt wordt in het meerkamer concept, is het nuttig als je als assistent in staat bent om lokale anesthesie te geven bij patiënten. Bij angstige patiënten kan het bijdragen aan vermindering van de angst voor injecties en de behandeling. Deze opleiding Lokale anesthesie geeft de theoretische en praktische basis. Ook besteden we aandacht aan het verbod op recappen en behandelen we verschillende oplossingen voor veilig omgaan met naalden. Er wordt eerst geoefend op een kunststof schedel en daarna oefen je onderling op je mede cursisten. Je dient ermee akkoord te gaan dat lokale anesthesie bij je wordt toegediend (met kortwerkende middelen). Bij zwangerschap kan je niet deelnemen aan de opleiding. In de weken tussen de 2 opleidingsdagen moet je in de praktijk een aantal keer, onder toezicht van een tandarts, anesthesie toepassen bij patiënten. The Endodontics Course is a comprehensive, practice-oriented training program for dentists who want to deepen and optimize their knowledge and skills in root canal treatments. During this course, you will learn to master the entire endodontic treatment process: from diagnosis and treatment planning to disinfection, obturation, and aftercare. Endodontics requires more than just technical skills. In this course, you will develop clinical insight and learn to make well-founded treatment choices based on current guidelines and scientific insights. Topics such as pain and emergency treatment, X-ray diagnostics, DETI, prognosis determination, and referral criteria are discussed in detail. Theory and Hands-on Practice: In our auditorium, equipped with a treatment microscope for each workstation, we combine in-depth theory with intensive practical training. You will work with natural teeth and phantoms, learn to find and prepare canals, determine the working length with an apex locator, and compare different endodontic file systems (manual, rotary, and reciprocating). In addition, ample attention is paid to modern materials such as calcium silicates and to current protocols for rinsing, disinfection, and temporary closure. Focus on predictable endodontics. You will learn how to perform endodontic treatments predictably and how to handle complex situations, residual radiolucencies, and questionable cases. Patient communication and peer consultation are also integral components of the course. The program concludes with a graduation, in which you present your own case studies and reflect on your clinical practice.

Our implantology course has been a success for years, and we recently upgraded the program. This way, we always stay up-to-date and you're aware of the latest developments. What will we do? During 10 days of training, consisting of 6 days of theory and 4 days of practice, we'll introduce you to the world of implantology, where you'll also implant three patients yourself. Throughout this course, we'll cover many topics, and various specialists will share their knowledge with you. For example, an oral surgeon will explain everything about anatomy so you can apply oral surgery with the right knowledge. We'll cover diagnostics and radiology, indications and treatment planning, various implant types, flap design, suturing, and finally, bone grafting and bone substitutes. Lead instructor Thibaut de Jong will tell you all about the intakes. We'll also cover implanting the dentate and edentulous jaw and how (removable) suprastructures can be created afterward. Leergang Upgrade buitenlands buitenlands opgeleide mondhygiënist
This new 8-day Upgrade is specifically designed for certified, foreign-trained dental hygienists who wish to be recognized in the Netherlands. If you wish to work in the Netherlands with a foreign healthcare diploma, this is only possible if your knowledge and skills are equivalent in content and level to the oral health curriculum at the bachelor's level. Final recognition is granted by the Foreign Certified Public Health committee. This is an independent committee of experts responsible for recognizing your diploma. Once you have successfully completed this Upgrade and been recognized by the aforementioned committee, you meet the requirements for working as a dental hygienist in the Netherlands. Please note: since the end of the registered dental hygienist experiment on July 1, 2025, dental hygienists are no longer BIG-registered. This means that, after recognition, you can work as a dental hygienist in the Netherlands within the applicable legal frameworks.
