Crown cutter KT856 / KT 881
For cutting all-ceramic restorations such as zirconium oxide and other all-ceramic materials. The exceptional stability of the special diamond grit provides for a long service life of the KT diamond instruments. The multilayer electroplated bond prevents the diamond grit from loosening prematurely. This results in an optimal removal rate with low vibrations when cutting all-ceramic materials. The crown cutter KT856 is to be placed at an angle of 45º. To remove an all-ceramic restoration, the restoration must be slit along its axial wall towards the centre of the occlusal surface or the incisal edge. The restoration is then bent open with a suitable instrument (lever), causing it to fracture. The KT881 is suitable for grinding off fragment residues. Speed ideally 160,000 rpm with the red contra-angle, contact pressure: < 2 N

Adhesive remover T379X
Tungsten carbide instruments for the removal of adhesive residues after removal of orthodontic brackets. Used at low speed, the instruments are highly effective for the coarse removal of remaining adhesive and only create a slight roughness depth. The special cutting geometry enables targeted and lowvibration removal of soft adhesive residues. The egg shape is particularly suitable for palatal removal of the adhesive when applying the lingual technique. Advantages of the adhesive remover: a special TiN coating prevents smearing of the instruments‘ cutting edges. This allows for smooth and controlled removal of the adhesive residues, with only minimal heat development. Speed ideally 30,000 rpm.

StarTec RA Porcelain Polishers
2-Step Polishing system with diamond particles, used for producing an intraoral high-lustre polish on zirconium dioxide, lithium disilicate (LS2), zircon-reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) as well as hybrid-ceramic. The highly flexible polishing lamellae adapt to any surface structure thus creating perfect polishing results, even on areas difficult to polish such as occlusal surfaces. Recommended speed 6.000 rpm. Always use coolant, 50L/ min, when polishing. External cooling should be used when polishing with lamellae polishers, which should be directed between the polisher and ceramic filling.

StarTec HP polisher for ceramics
Two-step lamella polishing system with diamond grit, for high-lustre polishing of zirconium dioxide, lithium disilicate, zirconium reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS), hybrid ceramics, as well as all common veneering ceramics. The individual lamellae support each other during the polishing process while retaining their flexibility. Therefore, the polishing lamellae adapt to every surface structure and create perfect polishing results. For highlustre polishing of occlusal, labial, incisal, buccal and interproximal areas. Polishing step 1 (purple) for surface smoothing and preparation for final polishing. Polishing step 2 (yellow) for high-lustre polishing without additional glaze firing Recommended speed 5.000 rpm.

CeraTec ceramic grinder
Abrasive trimmer with ceramic bond and specially matched diamond grit for processing zirconium materials without heating the all-ceramic material structure. For the efficient and material-conserving processing of high-performance zirconium, lithium disilicate, zirconium reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS), hybrid ceramics, resin nano ceramics (RNC) as well as all common veneering ceramics. CeraTec wheel (953.130HP), ideal for smoothing attachment points / retaining pin attachments and larger surfaces. The small size of the wheel also has a positive effect on the field of vision. Optimal speed 5,000 rpm.

Crown cutter C4AK
For cutting low-fusing veneering ceramics and metal frameworks in a single working step, easily and quickly. The novel MultiCut toothing enables fast chip removal and ensures good instrument stability with a high breaking strength. The new toothing system ensures smooth and low-vibration operation. The crown cutters are to be placed at an angle of 45°. Caution: the crown cutters must not be used for separating all-ceramic restorations made of extremely hard ceramics, e.g. zirconium oxide. Use the K-diamonds for separating all-ceramic materials, as they have been developed specifically for this application. Speed ideally 160,000 rpm, contact pressure: 0.5 N

Orthodontic diamond finishing strips
For interproximal enamel reduction (IPR), also referred to as “stripping“ or “recontouring”. IPR is a technique in which part of the enamel layer is removed to create sufficient space for orthodontic alignment. Diamond-coated on both sides, the diamond finishing strips enable simple and precise reduction of the interproximal tooth substance. The flexible strips follow the natural contours of the teeth to provide optimal surface design. The diamond finishing strips are available in 4 different thicknesses: 0,1 / 0,2 / 0,3 und 0,4 mm. Three different grit sizes are available, according to the colour coding; yellow for superfine grit, red for fine grit and blue for medium grit. The stainless steel strips can be autoclaved and reused.
