The mission of the Sumbing Bibir Foundation The Sumbing Bibir Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organization that has been working for children in Indonesia and India since 1992. Their goal is to make surgical treatment, aftercare, and social support possible for children born with a cleft lip and/or palate (cleft lip and/or palate) whose parents cannot afford the care. What is a cleft lip and palate? A cleft lip and palate is a congenital facial abnormality. Although it can be easily corrected with a relatively simple operation, it often has serious consequences in developing countries. Children with an untreated cleft lip and palate have difficulty eating and speaking, and sometimes suffer from malnutrition and hearing problems. Unfortunately, because of their visible abnormalities, they are often excluded or poorly accepted in their communities, leading to very limited future prospects. What we achieve together: Through our contribution, Corim Dental directly supports the foundation's crucial pillars. Our support helps finance: Life-changing surgeries: Funding the necessary surgical procedures, giving these children better health and a fulfilling future. Knowledge transfer and training: Training local surgeons and specialists on the Indonesian islands. This ensures that cleft palate care is locally anchored in the long term and that families are less dependent on foreign aid.
