MegaGen x BIOLASE, Integrating Innovation for a Future Beyond
BIOLASE has been a pioneer in introducing laser treatments to the dental field, earning the love and praise of countless clinicians worldwide for many years. Moving away from traditional mechanical methods such as handpieces, drills, blades and blades for flap surgeries, BIOLASE has demonstrated the potential of a new type of dental care. This has brought greater comfort, significantly reduced inconvenience, and faster healing for patients and practitioners.
However, despite the active progress in laser academies and clinical research, BIOLASE has unfortunately struggled with internal management issues. The drive for innovation and developing of more practical technologies diminished while focusing on business operations, weakened quality control and service systems.
As a clinician, I used BIOLASE, however, due to this disappointing service system, I remained a passive user who used the laser as little as possible. Knowing the potential and vision of laser treatment, I had a steady interest in manufacturing equipment that would surpass BIOLASE’s performance.
When I heard the news of BIOLASE’s bankruptcy, I realized that the fastest way forward was to acquire and revitalize the company. Though time was limited and thorough evaluation wasn’t possible, I boldly participated in the bidding process, and the court ultimately decided in favor of MegaGen Implant.
Now that BIOLASE has joined the MegaGen Implant family, let me share a little about MegaGen Implant. MegaGen Implant was established in 2002 by over 70 dentists who had long been engaged in implant education. Analyzing patients with various oral conditions, we began with the slogan, “Providing diverse implants to ensure no patient is left behind.”
