With UCAN Mill, Candulor is expanding its portfolio to include high-quality milling materials for digital processing. The proven TCR tooth material is now available in the form of two new milling disks: TCR Mono and TCR Multi, available in nine different shades including a bleach variant.
The TCR material – the 3rd generation TwinCrossedResin – is a highly cross-linked PMMA variant. The unique advantage of the material is the cross-linking between the polymer chains. The result is impressive, displaying both good abrasion resistance and plaque resistance.
The milled tooth elements can be combined with the PhysioSet TCR and PhysioSelect TCR tooth lines due to this material analogy, thus enabling hybrid production – analog as well as digital.
“Safety plays a major role in the processing of medical devices, which is why we rely on material technologies that have already proven themselves in the market and with which our customers are satisfied for digital processing. It therefore stood to reason to develop disks made of the TCR material, so that we could also work with the PhysioSet TCR and PhysioSelect TCR tooth lines in their accustomed quality in a hybrid mode,” explains Alexander Ewert, Director of Marketing & Education at Candulor.
The XPLEX Base Disks are available for denture bases. Here, too, the material corresponds to the popular impact-modified XPLEX denture material. XPLEX Base boasts convincing enhanced physical properties, in particular a higher breaking strength compared to conventional PMMA materials. This also applies to milling work, which can be combined with the XPLEX resin, for example for repairs.
The CAD/CAM disks can be processed in various milling systems and emphasize the concept of flexibility: each laboratory can choose its own method – with the assurance of proven Candulor material quality.
