According to its indications, MTA vpt can be used in cases of deep carious lesions or traumatic pulp exposure. It also supports the objectives of selective or stepwise caries excavation and the Vital Pulp Therapy (VPT) based on it. It can be applied as a lining material, for indirect and direct pulp capping as well as for the treatment of the pulp following vital amputation (partial or complete pulpotomy).
