Onze vernieuwde opleiding Tandartsassistent is zowel geschikt voor de instromende- als doorstromende tandartsassistent. Een vernieuwde versie omdat we vanaf 2021 deze mooie opleiding (deels) vanuit onze eigen digitale leeromgeving aanbieden. Met dit diploma ben je goed voorbereid op het werken als tandartsassistent in een tandartspraktijk. Het is echter wel noodzakelijk, als je de opleiding wilt volgen, dat je werkzaam bent in een tandartspraktijk óf dat je een stageplek hebt. De basisopleiding duurt ongeveer 1 schooljaar (ongeveer 9 maanden) en bestaat uit 11 praktijkdagen waar we samenkomen op één van de locaties waarvoor je je hebt aangemeld. De ondersteunende theorie kun je vanuit onze eigen leeromgeving voorbereiden, op het moment dat jou dat uitkomt. De online leeromgeving bestaat voornamelijk uit theorie, aangevuld met opdrachten en toetsen zodat we je voortgang goed in de gaten kunnen houden. Voor vragen kun je ook via onze leeromgeving contact hebben met je docent. Als tandartsassistent werk je zowel zelfstandig als in teamverband. Je assisteert de tandarts bij het voorbereiden en uitvoeren van de tandheelkundige behandelingen, zodat deze op een efficiënte en effectieve wijze kunnen worden uitgevoerd. Ook voer je vaak andere taken uit, zoals het bijwerken van administratie en tandheelkundige gegevens, het geven van voorlichting, instructie mondhygiëne en/of het bestellen van materialen. Het is een ontzettend leuk en afwisselend beroep waarin jij jezelf op veel gebieden kunt ontwikkelen. Na deze opleiding kun je nog aanvullende cursussen volgen om extra taken te kunnen uitvoeren zoals: tandsteen verwijderen, afdrukken en noodkronen maken, sealen enzovoort! The theory given in the morning is incorporated into practical lessons the same day in the afternoon, so that the acquired knowledge can be immediately put into practice. After each lesson day, home study assignments are given for further processing of the lesson material or in preparation for the lesson material of the next lesson day. After each day of teaching there are home study assignments to process or prepare for the teaching material. After 10 days of lessons there is an official test moment. You will be offered 3 internship days within the course, these days are arranged by M2 academy. Your internship supervisor will give you feedback. The exam at the end of the training consists of a theory exam, a practical exam and an assignment in the form of a report.

For interproximal enamel reduction (IPR), also referred to as “stripping“ or “recontouring”. IPR is a technique in which part of the enamel layer is removed to create sufficient space for orthodontic alignment. Diamond-coated on both sides, the diamond finishing strips enable simple and precise reduction of the interproximal tooth substance. The flexible strips follow the natural contours of the teeth to provide optimal surface design. The diamond finishing strips are available in 4 different thicknesses: 0,1 / 0,2 / 0,3 und 0,4 mm. Three different grit sizes are available, according to the colour coding; yellow for superfine grit, red for fine grit and blue for medium grit. The stainless steel strips can be autoclaved and reused.
