Description

The issues surrounding COVID-19 have led to new research into the danger of aerosols. Viruses, such as COVID-19, are shed through the mouth and can be spread through aerosols. Research has shown that aerosols remain in the air for as long as 1.5 hours, with the result that several people can become infected. This means that both practice staff and patients pose a health risk during treatment.

Recent research by ACTA has shown that the risk of infection is greatest within 80 cm around the patient’s head. The most effective are measures that intervene as close as possible to the source of the virus, in this case the patient’s mouth. The Aerosol Extraoral Suction does this, an air purification system that protects you 99% against viruses in aerosols.

How does Aerosol Extraoral Suction work?

– You place the suction mouth towards the patient. The device sucks up the aerosol mist;

– The system guides the air (droplets, aerosols, blood residue and dust that can be carriers of diseases caused by viruses and bacteria) first through 3 filters, including a Hepa 14 filter, and then past a UVC lamp that kills the bacteria and viruses;

– Clean and filtered air is blown out; viruses and germs up to 0.3 μm are stopped with an efficiency of 99.995%.

When you are not treating patients, you can use the device as a general air purification device. Within 20 minutes, the air in an average treatment room is recycled and filtered!
