1 cursusdag Doel van de cursus Röntgendiagnostiek is een belangrijk hulpmiddel in de tandheelkunde om een juiste diagnose te stellen. Een gedegen theoretische en praktische basis is nodig voor het toepassen van röntgenstraling in de tandheelkunde. In deze cursus leert de ervaren tandartsassistent om op een verantwoorde wijze– onder begeleiding en verantwoordelijkheid van de tandarts – röntgenfoto’s te maken en te ontwikkelen. Volgens de richtlijnen van de Europese Commissie en Besluit stralingsbescherming van de Kernenergiewet moet de tandartsassistent aantoonbaar kennis hebben opgedaan van stralingsbescherming. Het niveau (doelgroep/criteria) Het programma is ontwikkeld voor de gemotiveerde assistent én mondhygiënist. Leren en werken (begeleiding) Het zelfstandig maken van röntgenfoto’s is een uitdaging voor de assistent. Deze cursus vormt een goede basis, maar de nieuwe kennis en vaardigheden moeten natuurlijk wel geoefend worden. Theorie/Praktijk (inhoud/werkwijze) De cursus valt uiteen in een theorie- en praktijkgedeelte. De theorie wordt door ervaren docenten aan de hand van PowerPoint presentaties aangeboden. Er is volop gelegenheid tot het stellen van vragen. Drie weken voor de cursus ontvangt de cursist digitaal een handboek waarin alle theorie uiteen wordt gezet. De geleerde theorie toegepast bij het oefenen van het maken van röntgenfoto’s volgens de Richtlijn Infectiepreventie. De cursisten oefenen het aanbrengen van instelapparatuur voor het maken van röntgenfoto’s op elkaar. Voor het daadwerkelijk vervaardigen van een röntgenfoto zijn er fantoomhoofden beschikbaar. Er hoeft dus niet voor een patiënt te worden gezorgd. Er is echter wel verschillende instelapparatuur op de markt verkrijgbaar. M2 academy adviseert de in de praktijk gebruikte instelapparatuur mee te nemen om tijdens het praktijk gedeelte hiermee te kunnen oefenen.
