Effective & varied training Orthodontic assistant:
Theory and practice alternate: The lessons are aimed at teaching you as an assistant to effectively support the practitioner during all phases of orthodontic treatment. You will be taught by experienced teachers who provide a link with practice.
Practical lessons:
You will receive practical lessons in our well-equipped practice room, with 4 treatment chairs. You do the practical exercises on a phantom. You practice with different setups.
Personal attention:
You work in small groups with a lot of individual guidance from experienced teachers.
Themes during the theoretical part:
The theory lessons of the Orthodontic Assistant training include the following topics: orthodontic abnormalities and causes, making a diagnosis and the treatment plan and biomechanics of tooth displacement. You will also receive an explanation about all types of equipment, materials and tools.
Themes during the practical part:
In the practical part of the Orthodontic assistant training course, you learn how to collect information for the diagnosis and treatment plan: taking portrait and mouth photos, x-rays, tracing and making impressions. You will also learn how to carry out parts of the treatment plan: placing fixed equipment and applying and removing bands, brackets, arches, ligatures and retention threads, among other things.
